Who is Worse the Criminal or the Officer who does nothing to Stop Him?

Obama keeps violating the Constitution and Congress does nothing to stop him. So who is worse the President who wants to be Dictator or the Congress who is too afraid or too loyal to Obama to attempt to stop him?

Instead of Boehner and the GOP capitulating and surrendering by deciding to pass a “clean” debt-ceiling bill raising our debt to $18+ Trillion dollars, maybe they should have used this as leverage to make Obama abide by the laws of our nation? Maybe they should impeach him or use “the power of the purse” to force him to abide by the Constitution.

Too many American men and women have died and been wounded in wars to protect this country from kings, dictators, and tyrants for Obama, or Congress allowing him, to violate the Constitution.

Today, it was announced that Obama enacted a criminal law, something until now only Congress could do. His new law was not a “tweak.” Today, he had the IRS publish a rule that will allow the IRS to decide what a person was thinking. Employers will now have to certify what they were thinking under the penalty of jail time if they reduce their workforce.

The Constitution authorizes the President to propose and veto legislation. It does not authorize him to write laws. It does not authorize him to change existing laws. It does not authorize him to ignore laws he doesn’t agree with.

Need some examples? I will list only 4 below due to space but there are more.

1) He made 4 recess appointments in January 2012 while Congress was in session. He made his appointments on a weekend saying that Congress was not in the building. Congress met on Friday before and the Monday after. 3 Federal Courts have ruled his appointments were unconstitutional. He has ignored each court decision.

2) He has announced that he would ignore and go around the Supreme Court’s decision in striking down unconstitutional provisions of the civil rights law.

3) He has decided not to enforce parts of immigration law he does not like.

4) He has changed the Affordable Care Act 27 times. He does not have the authority to change laws but the fact that he had to change his name-sake law this many times shows you what a bad law this is.

This weekend he may have been joking when he said, “The good thing as President, I can do whatever I want,” but his actions are not a joke. His behavior and words show that he does believe that he can do whatever he wants. Obama has repeatedly told us that he intends to act on his own authority against the Constitution.

“I have the power and I will use it.”

“We’re going to do everything we can, wherever we can, with or without Congress.”

“I have a pen and a phone”

I know Democrats who love Obama see nothing wrong with Obama doing this. What will be the impact of this precedent? If Obama can change or ignore laws then the next President can also. What will happen when this comes to a breaking point such as when the Supreme Court finds his “recess” appointments unconstitutional and Obama decides he will ignore them? Will the military have to take action to oust the tyrant? Will there be another civil war?

The President is now doing whatever he chooses. Congress is standing by and has become irrelevant and impotent. The GOP is doing nothing because they are afraid of either losing elections or having their hidden crimes or ethical violations found out.

The bottom line is that Congress has passed laws which the President ignores. The President has chosen which to enforce laws he likes and ignore laws he doesn’t like. Obama has not waited for Congress to enact laws but has issued decrees. Obama has shown the Tea Party how to nullify not only laws but the Constitution.
