I listened to the song, “Grandpa Tel Me Bout the Good Old Days,” by the Judd’s this morning and I cried. I cried because I don’t know how I will explain to my grandbabies that America use to be Free; that America use to be seen as the land of opportunity, where one could achieve anything, if they worked hard and persevered. That America use to be the Shining City on the Hill, a beacon of light to others, shinning the light of Freedom and Liberty.

That beacon of light is so dim now that we can no longer see the forest for the trees; we can no longer see the bigger picture and have lost our perspective. I look around at what is happening and I no longer recognize my country. The government is putting barricades around WWII Memorial, a memorial which is privately owned, privately funded, built with private funds and maintained with private funds! Not only have they put these barricades up around the WWII memorial, but they have stationed guards to keep people from visiting this memorial. More guards preventing WWII veterans from visiting the memorial that many fought for, and some died for, more guards have been stationed there, than they had in Benghazi! This is a travesty, a degradation and a disgrace!  Never in my lifetime have I witnessed such blatant disrespect and disregard for our Veterans and their sacrifice by a President and his administration.

This President and his criminal administration have crossed the line one too many times. They have the audacity to inflict as much pain as possible on innocent people to make a point, really!? I would expect this behavior from a grade school child throwing a temper tantrum, NOT from adults who have been entrusted by the American people as representatives, to do the “peoples,” work.

Where is the line between right and wrong?  It seems that the people we have elected to serve are no longer able to distinguish between right and wrong, or simply do not give a damn any more. They are self-serving, and self-absorbed. Placing their own selfish needs and desires above what is right and best for their constituents and the country.

The moral fiber of this country has disintegrated and morphed into something that now resembles Sodom and Gomorrah. Our President and his tyrannical administration are upping the ante with their current behavior. His Marxist/communist ideology has kicked into overdrive, and he is now shoving the people. By placing this barricade around a privately owned, privately operated and privately funded WWII memorial, the President is sending a very clear message to the American people; Do Not mess with his administration, do not to step on their toes, and do not to overstep the boundaries he has placed for the American people.

For 5 years and 9 months, I have watched while the men and women in Congress have stood by and done nothing, while this tyrant has ignored the Rule of Law, broken his Oath of Office (on numerous occasions), usurped the Constitution, and the Congress, caused the death of 4 Americans in Benghazi, sold arms to the drug cartels in Mexico, and forced his criminally passed legislation, The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) upon the American people while exempting the Congress, the Senate, and the Muslims.  This tyrant follows the Constitution when it suites him and ignores the Constitution when it gets in his way.  This tyrant plays golf while his criminal foot soldiers in the Senate such as, Harry Reid, George Miller, and Nancy Pelosi resort to name calling.

Where is the America I grew up in, where I was able to erect a Lemon-aide stand and sell lemon-aide to people passing by without first getting g a permit? Where I could ride my bike without being forced to wear a helmet and knee pads? Where I could take a Miracle Whip and Pineapple sandwich to school, and not have my lunch confiscated because the government deemed it unhealthy? Where I could disagree with my government and not fear retribution, like being audited by the IRS! Where I could have a conversation on the telephone, or send an email without fearing that I was being spied on by my government? Where is the America I grew up in, where I was able to pick my own doctor and my own medical insurance plan without being forced to go onto a government led insurance plan, that should I choose to opt out of, penalizes me with up to $4,000 per year, and if I do not pay, a lien will be placed upon my home, and my tax returns confiscated, and I might face “jail!” These are clearly bully tactics, tactics taken straight from Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” and from Cloward and Piven. Instead of putting the needs of the people first and foremost, these tyrannical bullies are name calling and making threats. They offer no viable solutions, but instead have dug their heels in and refuse to budge or give an inch.

This is NOT the America I grew up in, this America resembles Nazi Germany, where I am being controlled by a tyrannical communist government to do as I am told, or face the consequences. This President does not believe in a Constitutional Republic, he does not value small government, fiscal responsibility, and States rights. He is cut from the very same mold as Hitler, he believes that government has all the answers, and is responsible for taking care of the people from cradle to grave, and that the people own their allegiance to him, the one supreme leader, the all-knowing and all-seeing emperor.

So how do I tell my grandbabies that America was once a Free Nation, a Constitutional Republic, a representative form of government where the individual was “endowed by their creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

I am asking all of you to stand your ground, and not fund Obamacare. I am asking you to stand on principle, to stand in honor for what you know is right and true. I am asking you not give in to these tyrannical bullies and to stand firm. If you give in, and fold on this issue, you will be placing the final death knell in our Constitutional Republic, and the future of not only my grandbabies, but for generations to come. Generations that will never taste the Freedom and Liberty that use to be the Miracle of The United States of America.

The choice is this, either we pass the torch of Freedom onto our children and grandchildren, the freedom intended for us by our Founding Fathers, or we admit that we are the generation without the capacity or the desire for self-government, that we are the generation that put the nail in the coffin of what was the most unique idea in all history of man’s relation to man and we go down the path of totalitarianism.
