ObamaCare Buttercups, Suck it Up!
This week will be the start of open registration for the health care exchanges under the Affordable Care Act.  I am certain that many of those Obama supporters are almost giddy about finally getting free health care paid for out of the Obama stash. Sorry folks, but you need to know these facts.
1. The insurance under the Affordable Care Act is not free, period. Unless you qualify for Medicare or Medicaid, you will pay for this insurance.
2. You must buy insurance or be fined by the government. The argument that you are young and healthy and do not wish to, or can’t afford, to buy the insurance does not matter. Your choice about your health care has been taken away by the same party who claims that abortion is legal because a woman has a right to choice how she cares for her body.
3. There will be deductibles, limits on covered services, co pays and a decreased availability of medical professionals to care for you.
4. Premium increases will be controlled by the government and you will have no choice. If you are expecting small increases please remember this is the same government that has grossly mismanaged Social Security and the entire Federal Budget. The money will have to come from somewhere so you will face premium increases, higher deductibles, higher co-pays and a decrease in covered services in the future.
5. Your Dr. will not have the ability to determine the best treatment for you because they will have to follow medical guidelines set forth by the Affordable Care Act.
So to those people who voted to support the President and the Affordable Care Act, thank you for harming my health and the health of millions of others just so you can have government health care. And when you become frustrated, realize that you are not getting the care you deserve, and how bad an idea this really was, don’t blame the Republicans because it was your vote that caused this.
