Fallout From Fiscal Cliff Deal May Be The Wake Up Call The Tea Party Has Been Waiting For

I understand your feelings of deep frustration, to be sure, I think many of us are struggling with similar feelings. Thankfully, we have a place to go and share those feelings with each other, we know we are not alone.

That said, I just want to point out a few things that may put some fire back in your fight. And make you chuckle a little too.

As many of you know, I am a Pachyderm. Traditionally, most of us Elephants aren’t exactly known for our classy sense of style, since we’re most often photographed wearing the same grey suits, but a few of us, (like myself and Mr. PP~) break out of the old norms and go our own way. 

 

Now, Mr. PP~ and I, have a reputation for turning heads. I mean really, it isn’t often one see’s REAL Pachyderms outside of Zoo’s in our Country, so seeing a six foot tall, long blond haired female elephant, and her equally tall, suit and tie wearing husband, holding TEA Parties on capital lawns, meandering in and out of the offices of many Governors, Senators, and Congressional Representatives by day, and attending/ speaking at events, conferences and conventions, packed with members of groups like AFP, Freedomworks, Tea Party Patriots, and yes, The Republican Party too at night, and being welcome and respected at all of them equally, is to some, quite a spectacle I suppose… But to us, it’s just us, doing what we do. 

That said, while I’m not a fan of Boehner’s political tactics, I do have to admit, I admire his(or his wife’s) sense of fashion. I’ve got to say, the man has impeccable taste in neckties, and the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen!…There is something positive to be said of everyone and everything.) 

 

Along those lines, I also have to give the speaker credit, and Thanks for refusing to bring the pork laden Hurricane Sandy bill to the floor for a vote without debate, in the middle of the night, on New Years eve.

By refusing to bring the bill to the floor, he saved you, me and millions of other American Tax payers an eye popping $51 BILLION Dollars, for the Pork barrel projects which had NOTHING to do with emergency disaster relief, but instead provided funds for things like Alaskan fish hatcheries, a new roof for the Smithsonian, and operating costs for Am Track, all of which were stuffed into the emergency bill, in the middle of the night, by Democratic Senators and Congressional Reps, thinking they could pull as fast one, and no one would be the wiser… They figured they could just add these items to the tab that will be blindly paid by us, our children and grand children. 

 

This was a victory for our side. One that would never have happened, were it not for those of us out here continuing to fight and shake others awake.

 

 

 WE ARE NOT LOSING FOLKS! DO NOT LOSE FAITH. DO NOT STOP FIGHTING!

 

Yes the battles we win may seem small, but you know what? WE’RE STILL WINNING THEM DAILY!

One at a time, little by little, with every victory we gain more ground, we awaken more people, and become a more powerful force.

 

Due to this Fiscal cliff band-aid, Within the next 30 days, a full 77% of all American tax payers will get their paychecks, and open them to find on average $200. less per pay period with which to care for their families.  I don’t know too many folks right now, whose families can withstand a $400. per month drop in income. Most folks I know, are barely hanging on, or sinking quickly. This cut in pay will drag them down like a cement truck going off the side of a mountain. It’s not going to “pinch a little” like those who thought up this idiotic plan imagine.

Nope, after all, they have no concerns about whether or not their children will have clothes to wear, or food to eat. Instead, their band-aid will be a tourniquet that squeezes the life out of most folks, and within two or three paychecks, those folks are  not going to get mad, nope. They are going to get down right PISSED OFF!

When that happens, it’s our turn. WE WILL BE THE ONES THEY TURN TO.  WE WILL BE THE ONES WHO THEY KNOW ARE IN THEIR CORNER.  WE WILL BE THE ONES TO LEAD THEM, AND WE WILL BE THE ONES WHO WIN!

So hang in there. Keep fighting. Keep learning, GET READY TO MOVE,  GET READY TO ROAR,  GET READY TO TAKE YOUR COUNTRY BACK!

Though painful for most of us, see this as the wake up call we could NEVER have delivered in as effective a way. This will wake up EVERYONE. WE MUST BE READY AND PREPARED TO ACT THE SECOND IT DOES BECAUSE WE WON’T GET A SECOND CHANCE! 

So keep your chin up, put that smile on your face, and that fire for the fight back in your heart
