BRINGING THE THUNDER/ IT HAS BEGUN
By Passionate Pachyderms
Shhhh… Can you hear it?
The faint rumble of a coming storm.
It gets stronger, more persistent as each day passes.
We’ve gathered, planned, prepared.
We are millions,
traveling together, in lock step,
one thunderous mile at a time.
As each day passes, more join us.
We come from the country, the mountains, the plains,
cities, towns, and villages to join the growing army that
inches ever nearer it’s destination.
The thunder becomes louder, more deafening as each patriot falls in line.
Soon, the roar is impossible to hear over, escape or drown out,
yet we remain many miles away.
The lakes, streams and waterways tremble with the sound of our footsteps,
sending ripples off to the shore.
Nothing will be unaffected as we pass, nothing will remain the same.
A heavy electrifying energy hangs in the air, thick and unyielding.
Something is coming.
Something never before seen or experienced, exciting, yet frightening.
The rumbling continues through the day and into the night, unceasing,
growing ever louder as we travel together.
An old man whispers as the ground beneath his feet shakes again and again,
“They’ll be arriving soon.” Who? asks a passerby…
The old man smiles knowingly and replies, “You’ll find out soon enough.” and continues on his way.
As we begin to enter the city, the earth rattles and cracks under our feet,
we consume the highways, the roads, streets and walkways.
No traffic will move as this storm rages, just as we’ve planned it.
We enter from every direction by the tens of thousands.
The old man knows the instant we arrive.
He looks up at the gathering dark clouds and utters to no one in particular,
“They have arrived.”
As the words leave his mouth, lightning flashes wildly across they sky and a strong wind begins to blow.
He simply smiles and awaits the first glimpse of our majestic numbers.
~Again he utters, ”It has begun.”
The buildings sway as the thunderous roar of each step pounds the earth.
FEAR grows in the souls of the guilty, they know we’ve come for them,
ALL OF THEM.
….This time,WE WILL NOT BE DENIED.
THIS TIME WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED.
THIS TIME WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED.
THIS TIME, WE’VE COME TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!
The old man hears their words and knows well their resolve, for he has been where they now stand.
Alexander Hamilton stands and walks slowly towards the 38 other patriots who wait for him,
all of them the signers of the Constitution.
“Let the PATRIOT Storm Begin~ God almighty is with us~
who dare to stand against us?”
